The school district and Three Village Teachers Association have reached a new labor contract that will carry an overall salary increase of 4% during the five-year period of July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2021.

The negotiated agreement calls for a 0% salary increase during the 2016-2017 school year and a 1% salary increase for each of the four years following.  This is the first time the two parties have approved a contract of this length.  The duration of the five-year agreement and the modest increases allocated throughout will aid the district as it maintains its commitment to long-range financial planning.

“Over the past several months, we have worked collaboratively to develop a fiscally sound contract that will continue to support our students’ educational needs,” said Superintendent of Schools Cheryl Pedisich.  “As a district, we will remain focused on building upon the traditions and standards of academic excellence that are indicative of the district’s fine and reputable educational program.”

“I am proud of the agreement reached by our district’s teachers and Board, and thank all parties for their work during this process,” stated TVTA President Claudia Reinhart.  “As members of the educational community, our priority has, and will always be, to provide exceptional instruction to the students of Three Village.”
